Hello everyone,
This is my first time using NG as a writer so I'm not quite sure how everything works yet, my blank profile page suggested I make a news post and say hi so that's what I'm doing. I have some experience already in writing electronic music so I promise my submissions won't be garbage. That said, I sure would appreciate (constructive) feedback on my posts... I'm still not used to the finer points of production. I use Reason 10 production software and I have never even seen FLStudio, so if you use that, the specific tools might be different but you can still tell me the general idea of what you're thinking I should do and I'll probably get it.
My first post is coming right after this, feel free to check it out, I'm quite happy with it. It's a drum and bass style piece just under 4 minutes long, on the melodic side for the genre (I tend to shy away from grinding noises for 32 straight measures). It took me a total of somewhere between 12 and 15 hours total over 4 days to create. This is pretty fast as my work goes (although in high school I could only write for 3-7 hours a week so perhaps it just felt fast).
I'm excited to be part of this community! I've been looking at this site for a while (yeah, I play geometry dash) and it seems pretty chill. I do have to go to class and do my homework and stuff, so I won't be posting super often, but I think I'll put something out 2-3 times per month.

My favorite color is Orange.
My major is actually Aerospace Engineering, which has basically nothing to do with music at all.
I like to write fiction, although an actual novel (which, granted, would be pretty cool to pull off) is a long ways away.
I play soccer; I'm pretty good at goalie.
I know some basic Chinese.
